Going to the grocery store…
To prepare for Hurricane Irene…
My dad called me at 7 a.m. this morning and told me to go out immediately and purchase batteries, a flashlight (maybe even two), candles, a lighter, canned foods, water, a first aid kit, and an extra cell phone battery. I honestly don’t think it will be that bad since the news always tends to exaggerate these things, but my whole family is really worried, so if buying an emergency first aid kit and two flashlights makes them feel better, then that’s what I’ll do! Although the only canned foods that will be left are probably artichoke hearts or something (I’d rather starve for a few days). Hopefully I can get some Dole peaches! Wishful thinking probably.
